Lamington National Park is part of a World Heritage Area and is reknown throughout the world due to the size of the park, the unique flora and fauna; and the sheer beauty of the mountains and rainforest. This website is a huge source of information including plant and animal species descriptions, walking track information and world class photography. The site was produced by Green Mountains Natural History Association and School of Natural and Rural Systems Management - University of Queensland. Lamington National Park is located in Queensland, Australia. It is situated approximately 100km south of Brisbane (the capital city of Queensland) and is part of a mountainous area known as the MacPherson Ranges. The park covers an area of 20 500 ha and belongs within the Albert and Beaudesert local Shires
