Size: 190-210mm. The male is larger.
Identification: Upper parts plain
to dark olive green. Has a pale yellow gape and crescent patch over
the ear.

Rainforest and fringing growth on east coast and ranges between McIlwraith
Range, Qld and Melbourne.
Habitat:
Habitat varies from rainforest to
the wetter eucalypt forests and the drier open forests.
Feeding: eats
insects, nectar and fruit.
Breeding/Nesting: Breeds
August-January. Builds a cup-shaped nest of bark strips, leaves, moss
and cobweb.
Movement: Mainly found high in the
forest canopy where it scavanges for food.

throughout the rainforest areas. It feeds in the gardens of Binna Burra
Lodge and O'Reilly's Guest House (it may even enter the dining room to
