Size: Grows to between 33 and 40cm.

Call/Song:
Is distributed throughout Australia (wherever there are trees).
Habitat:
Preferred habitat seems to be the open
eucalypt forests.
Feeding: Mainly feeds on small,
ground dwelling animals. The frogmouth swoops down upon its prey from
the trees.
Breeding/Nesting:
Movement: A nocturnal animal which
perches on branches during the day (well camoflaged).
