There
are many unique and rare plants and plant communities
protected within the national park. Many species are only found within
the boundaries of the national park,
and so the park is extremely important for their
long term survival. Soil types and
climatic variation due to topography are the major factors responsible
for the distribution of vegetation types in the National Park.
